Mi’kma’ki or Mi’gma’gi is the traditional and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq and Wolastoqey. It spans present-day Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and eastern Quebec in Canada, as well as parts of Maine in the United States. The Mi’kmaq split the territory into seven districts; clicking on one of the districts will give you more information on the communities in that district as well as contacts for the Mi’kmaq Grand Council, the historic form of Mi’kmaw governance.
